MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers

MOPS provides a Christ-centered caring ministry for mothers of children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS cares that a women…

• has a safe place to be herself
• grows to be all that she can as a wife, mother and friend
• knows and experiences God’s love

In this high stress period of a mother’s life, she may feel inadequate, frustrated or lonely. Frequently these feelings go unresolved. MOPS is committed to meeting the needs of mothers by:

• creating an atmosphere of encouragement and acceptance
• developing a sense of commitment to family, other women, church and community
• providing opportunities for the improvement of leadership skills and contributing to a sense of self-worth and confidence
• promoting spiritual growth by encouraging each woman to discover that Christ is relevant in her life

Typical MOPS meetings include an informal time of treats and conversation followed by an instructional time. Subjects related to womanhood, marriage, childrearing and relationships are presented from a biblical perspective. Small discussion groups provide honest interaction, deepening friendships and spiritual enrichment. A craft activity time promotes a sense of accomplishment through creative expression.

MOPPETS - Children's Program

The MOPPETS program is designed specifically to care for the needs of children from birth through kindergarten. The purpose of the ministry is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children and to introduce them to the love of GOD. Our MOPPETS program wants each child to:

• feels good about him/herself
• knows and experience the love of God
• receive quality care and teaching

MOPPETS teachers help shape the future through their input of Christian love and teaching. Dividing the children into age groups allows each child to socialize within groups of similar skill and interest level. Planned activities contribute to the child’s:

• Social growth through group play and participation
• Physical and creative development through games, crafts and exercise
• Spiritual enrichment through Bible stories and music

Every morning is filled with stories, games, songs, art projects, play time, large and small motor time and a snack.
