Second Harvest Food Distribution
For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. - Matthew 25:35a
Prior Lake Campus
5:30 - 7:30pm
Friendship Church is excited to partner with Second Harvest to provide a free surplus food and household product distribution the second Thursday of every month. It is intended for low income families or those going through a time of crisis. View a flyer in English or Spanish for information on our next distribution.
Registration for the distribution begins at 2:00pm and closes at 7:15pm. You must register in person and there is only one distribution allowed per household. The actual distribution is from 5:30 - 7:30pm.
When you come to register, please bring the following:
- A valid drivers license or photo id with a current address. If the address is not current, please also bring a current utility bill with the correct address.
- A large basket or box to receive your distribution.
Once you register, you will receive a ticket with a time to return to pick up your distribution.
Interested In Volunteering?
We bring in two semi-loads of food and goods from Second Harvest Heartland on the second Thursday of every month. Up to 500 households are served that same night. In order to run the distribution smoothly, we need approximately 80 volunteers.
There are many areas in which to help:
- Setup and Repacking
- Security and Traffic Flow
- Hospitality and Registration
- Packaging Cleanup
This is a wonderful opportunity to show Christ’s love and care to those in need. It is a great chance for parents and students (age 12 and up) to serve together or for teens who are looking to perform community service.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact Kari McKiver at or call 952-447-0530.
