Shakopee Campus Director

Hi! I'm Gen Johnson, Shakopee 5th and 6th Grade Zone Director. A little bit about me: I have a wonderful husband named Dan and a beautiful little girl named London. We also have 2 very troublesome main coon cats named Simon and Saphy. My favorite color is pink! My favorite foods are artichokes, pizza, and brownies. My least favorite foods are strawberries, onions, and fish! I love reading, watching movies, biking, doing crafts, cooking, being with friends and family, and being a mom. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 139. It talks about how God created us and that He is with us in our lives from the very beginning. No matter where we go, He is faithfully by our side.
I started out volunteering in the Zone when I was in high school and loved it right from the start. The kids are so awesome!! I love being getting to know each of them but most of all getting to see them grow in Christ during the 2 years that they are in the Zone. God has surely blessed me in giving me the opportunity to be a part of this ministry. |

Prior Lake Campus Director

Hey, Dan Fethkenher here, Prior Lake 5th and 6th grade Zone Director. I have a very interesting story of how I got started in youth ministry. You should ask me some time. Here's an extremely shortened version: I started as an intern at Friendship Church 1 ½ years out of college, working with the Jr. and Sr. High. I enjoyed my time so much that I stuck around the following school year also, helping in the Flood (Jr. High). The second year I had the opportunity to write and give a few messages, which deepened my yearning to be with youth. The following school year 2 part-time positions with the Zone opened up, and Gen and I were chosen to work with these amazing 5th and 6th graders. I have been pastoring these youth since the end of summer 2005.
I live with my roommate Jason. My other part-time job is Walgreens. |
I have a cat named Becky and other small animals who always manage to sneak out of their cages. Except my fish; he always stays in his bowl.
I love to hang out with youth of all ages, roller blade, lead worship (everything that has to do with music excites me), eat pizza, and just about everything else that has to do with eating and hanging with people. |
